With our after-sales warranty, you can feel confident in your hearing aid usage. If you wish to upgrade or replace your device, we also provide upgrade options and a wide selection of hearing aids, so you can enjoy improved performance and a more satisfying hearing experience.

Warranty from Mimitakara®

Purchasing a hearing aid is an important decision for every customer. We are committed to delivering confidence and the very best to Mimitakara hearing aid users. Our warranty ensures your peace of mind, comfort, and worry-free experience throughout the lifespan of your device.

General Warranty

If the product fails during normal use within the warranty period, Mimitakara will, at its discretion, repair or replace the defective parts or the product itself with new parts or products, or restore the item to a condition with functionality equivalent to or better than the original components provided. This warranty is valid only if the product was newly manufactured at the time of purchase and not sold as used, refurbished, or in production process. Please retain the original purchase invoice for future service requests. This warranty does not cover failures caused by improper installation, usage, cleaning, or maintenance, accidents, damage, misuse, abuse, non-Mimitakara modifications, third-party accessories, normal wear and tear, or any events, acts, defaults, or omissions beyond the control of Mimitakara.

All components repaired or replaced by the Mimitakara service center are covered under warranty for three months or for the remainder of the original warranty period, whichever is applicable.

The service center may restore the original operating system configuration that came with the product. However, Mimitakara will not recover or transfer any data or software from the product’s original storage media. If the product is repaired, all user-generated data may be permanently deleted. If the product is covered under warranty, you agree to transfer ownership of the replaced defective parts, which will automatically become the property of Mimitakara.

Warranty Period

1-Year Manufacturer’s Warranty: The warranty begins upon delivery of the order and expires one year (365 days) later. Please note that the one-year warranty is calculated from the date of the original purchase and does not reset with a product replacement. If proof of purchase is unavailable, the manufacturer’s date recorded by Mimitakara will be considered the start of the warranty period.

What Does This Warranty Cover?

This warranty applies to all Mimitakara hearing aids and accessories purchased from the Mimitakara website and covers defects in materials or workmanship under normal use during the warranty period.

Warranty Service Exclusions

Mimitakara’s warranty covers only technical hardware issues that occur during the warranty period and under normal usage conditions. It does not apply to damage or situations caused by the customer, including but not limited to:

  • Products modified, repaired, and/or altered by unauthorized personnel.

  • Serial numbers of the product, components, or accessories that are changed, removed, or tampered with.

  • Broken or altered warranty seals.

  • Obsolescence.

  • Damage (accidental or otherwise) that does not affect the product’s operation and functionality, such as rust, color changes, surface or cosmetic wear, and gradual deterioration.

  • Damage resulting from war, terrorism, fire, accidents, natural disasters, intentional or unintentional misuse, neglect, improper maintenance, or operation under abnormal conditions.

  • Damage caused by improper installation, incorrect connections, or malfunctioning of peripheral devices.

  • Damage caused by external electrical failures or any accidents.

  • Damage due to use outside the operational, storage, or environmental parameters specified in the user manual.

  • Damage caused by third-party repair centers.

  • Inoperability or damage due to contamination by hazardous substances, disease, pests, or radiation.

  • Fraud, theft, unexplained disappearance, or damage/harmful situations resulting from intentional acts by the customer.

Customer Liability

When Using the Product:

  • Read the user manual carefully and use the product according to the provided instructions.

  • Do not leave the product connected to a power source once fully charged and turned off. Some electrical devices are not designed to remain connected for extended periods.

  • Keep the original packaging. If the product needs to be returned for repair, the original packaging provides better protection during shipping.

  • Check the manual and Mimitakara website for troubleshooting solutions before contacting customer service.

  • Clearly and thoroughly explain the issue. You can reach us at:

  • Provide the invoice or receipt showing the details of your product purchase. Please note: Mimitakara reserves the right to request the original document. If the requested documentation is not available to verify the warranty, the product’s manufacture date recorded by Mimitakara will be considered the start of the warranty period.

    Pack the product in secure and sturdy packaging. The original packaging may be helpful for this purpose. In any case, the packaging should meet the following requirements:

    • Use a rigid box with an undamaged lid.

    • Remove any previous labels, hazardous material indicators, or shipping marks that are no longer valid.

    • Wrap all items separately.

    • Use appropriate cushioning materials.

    • Use strong tape designed for shipping.

    • Do not use rope or paper wrapping.

    • Attach a single address label clearly showing complete shipping and return information.

    • Place a duplicate address label inside the package.

    • Please do not include anything other than the product unless specifically requested by Mimitakara. Mimitakara is not responsible for the loss, damage, or destruction of items inside the package.

Liability Rules

Except as expressly stated in this warranty and to the maximum extent permitted by law, Mimitakara shall not be liable for any direct, special, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from a breach of the warranty or its terms, or under any other legal theory. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of use, loss of income, actual or expected profits (including contract profits), loss of money, loss of anticipated savings, business interruption, loss of opportunity, loss of goodwill, loss of reputation, loss, damage, or corruption of data, or any indirect or consequential loss or damage, including the cost of replacing equipment and property or recovering or reproducing any data stored or used with the product. The above limitations do not apply to claims for death or personal injury, or liability under any law for intentional acts and/or gross negligence by Mimitakara. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages; to the extent such jurisdictions govern this warranty, the above limitations do not apply to you.

Cases Not Covered by the Warranty

Returning a product to the Mimitakara service center during the warranty period does not automatically guarantee free repair. Upon receiving your product, Mimitakara reserves the right to verify the validity of your warranty and service request. If the warranty period has expired or any of the exclusions mentioned above apply, your request will be considered Out of Warranty (“OOW”). For OOW service requests, you will receive a service estimate detailing the repair costs, which you may accept or decline. If you accept the repair, an invoice will be issued for labor, parts, and any other charges listed in the service estimate. Payment must be made within four weeks from the invoice date. Repairs will only be completed after payment has been received.

Abandoned Property

After your product has been repaired or replaced, or if you decline the repair offer, Mimitakara will return the repaired/replaced product using the agreed-upon method. If you fail to collect your product, or if delivery cannot be made to the address you provided, Mimitakara will send a notice to the address on file at the time of service request. If the product is still not collected within 90 days from the notice date, Mimitakara reserves the right to claim damages from you, including storage fees, to dispose of the product in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, and to exercise its legal lien rights for any outstanding costs. Lifetime Hearing Aid Adjustments

  • If your hearing aid sounds unclear or difficult to hear, and to ensure effective communication, we offer expert frequency-specific adjustments. You can visit any Digibionic Hearing Center branch for this service.

    If you are far away or unable to visit a Digibionic Hearing Center, we also provide remote hearing adjustment services by our specialists, addressing issues immediately when you need them. For convenience and timely hearing adjustments, you can contact us through any available channel.

Lifetime Hearing Aid Maintenance

Digibionic offers hearing consultations, free hearing tests, and comprehensive after-sales services by professional specialists to address any issues with your hearing aids. We provide lifetime maintenance services, including bi-monthly cleaning appointments, moisture and sterilization treatment, replacement of sound tubes (BTE) and ear tips, replacement of wax filters (RIC, CIC, ITC), and free battery replacement. Your hearing aid can also be adjusted anytime during its lifespan, and we offer free annual hearing tests to ensure optimal performance and effective use of your hearing aids.
